Nail Prep, Primer and Bond: what does each one do?

Nail Prep is used to prepare and temporarily dehydrate the nail surface, helping to remove moisture and oils before continuing with the application.

Primer promotes adhesion between the natural nail and the products applied afterwards. Different types of primer are available, so it is important to use the one recommended for each system.

Bond products or adhesion promoters act as bonding agents and may form part of the preparation process before applying a base coat, gel, acrygel or other nail enhancement systems.
