Choose how to reinforce the natural nail

Elastic Base, Fiber Base, BIB and AIB offer different approaches to cosmetic nail reinforcement. Compare their properties and choose the system that suits your service.

Compare the systems

Four approaches to nail reinforcement

These are alternatives, not four consecutive steps. They differ in flexibility, body and capacity to create structure.

Flexible base

Elastic Base

For flexible reinforcement and light levelling without building a pronounced structure.

Fibre base

Fiber Base

Adds more body to the reinforcement and allows you to level the natural nail.

Builder gel

BIB

Builder Gel in Bottle: a builder gel in a bottle with a brush for creating more structure.

Acrygel

AIB

Acrygel in Bottle: an acrygel in a bottle with a brush, offering a different texture and way of working.

Both BIB and AIB come in a bottle with a brush. The difference lies in the type of product and how it behaves during application, not in the applicator.
Reinforcement and colour in one product? Some Elastic Base and Fiber Base products come in shades. If the chosen shade gives the desired finish, it can remain visible and be sealed with a compatible Top Coat, following that product’s instructions. Gel Polish is optional.

Start with the right preparation

Before applying the chosen system, prepare the nail according to its protocol. Nail Prep, the appropriate primer and adhesion products are selected based on the nail, the service and the product instructions; they are not a universal sequence.

Frequently asked questions

Are these nail hardeners?

No. They create a cosmetic reinforcement on the nail during the service; this does not mean that they harden or repair the natural nail.

Do I need to apply Elastic Base, Fiber Base, BIB and AIB together?

No. We compare them to help you choose a system. They are not four mandatory steps in one protocol.

What is the difference between BIB and AIB?

BIB is a builder gel in a bottle, while AIB is an acrygel in a bottle. Both have a brush. The choice depends on the technique, how you prefer to work with the product and the instructions for each item.

Do I need Gel Polish over a coloured base?

Not necessarily. A coloured base can remain visible and be sealed with a compatible Top Coat. You can add Gel Polish for another colour or effect, following the product protocol.

Which system should I choose for my service?

Consider the natural nail’s condition, the reinforcement or structure required and the technical instructions for the specific product.
