Choose how to build and level

When a service calls for shaping, levelling the surface or building structure, Purple Professional offers different approaches. Compare Builder Gel, BIB, Acrygel Combi and AIB before choosing a product for your technique.

Compare the systems

Four options, two ways to work

Builder gel or acrygel; a traditional container or a bottle with a brush. These are alternatives, not consecutive steps. Check the product sheet for each reference.

Builder gel · jar

Builder Gel

Shapes the structure with a separate brush. The range includes different textures and finishes; a Classic reference is shown here as an example.

Builder gel · bottle

BIB

Builder Gel in Bottle. Builder gel in a bottle with an integrated brush and self-levelling behaviour, for levelling and building structure according to the specific product.

Acrygel · traditional format

Acrygel Combi

Taken from the container and shaped with a brush. Its texture stays more controlled while you form the structure.

Acrygel · bottle

AIB

Acrygel in Bottle. Includes an applicator brush and lets you build structure with an acrygel texture in a bottle.

The choice is not just about the container. Compare the product family, texture, intended structure and technical sheet of the specific reference. Both BIB and AIB come with a brush.

From assessment to finish

An overview of the service, not one universal protocol for all four systems.

01

Prepare the nail

Prepare the natural nail and select preparation and adhesion products according to the technique and Purple’s instructions.

02

Shape the structure

Apply and shape the chosen system. Whether a base is needed first, layer thickness and curing all depend on the specific reference.

03

Refine and seal

Where appropriate, remove the inhibition layer, file and clear away dust. Add colour if desired, then finish with a compatible Top Coat.

Frequently asked questions

How do Builder Gel and BIB differ?

Both are builder gels. Builder Gel is shown here in a jar and applied with a separate brush; BIB comes in a bottle with a brush. Texture and working method may also vary by reference.

How do Acrygel Combi and AIB differ?

Both belong to the acrygel family. Acrygel Combi is taken from the container and shaped with a brush; AIB is applied from a bottle with an integrated brush. Check the sheet for the chosen shade and format.

Do I need to add coloured Gel Polish?

Not always. Some builders come in cover or milky shades that can form part of the finished look. Gel Polish is optional when you want another colour or effect; finish with a compatible Top Coat.

Can these systems also be used for extensions?

Some references and techniques can create extensions, but building on the natural nail is not the same as lengthening it. Choose the technique, form or tip and product for the specific service.

Choose the right structure for each service

Good structure starts with nail preparation and continues with the system best suited to the technique. Always consult the chosen product’s sheet and protocol.
