Semi-permanent colour, step by step
A semi-permanent manicure combines appropriate preparation, a compatible base, thin layers of colour and a sealed finish. Choose each product for the nail and service: Gel Polish adds colour but does not replace the base.

A clear, higher-viscosity base that can provide levelling before colour. Purple’s illustrated protocol uses it as a base for Gel Polish.
An alternative base for the manicure. It can also serve as a finish when used according to its curing and final-cleansing instructions.
Two base options to compare; select one according to the service protocol.
On the already cured base, apply Gel Polish in thin layers and cure each according to the product and lamp. Finish with a compatible Top Coat and cure it as instructed.
The shades below are examples: light pink, nude and red. You do not need to buy all three for one service.
Apply thin, even layers of colour. If the shade needs a second layer, cure each layer separately according to its product sheet.
Top Coat protects the finish. Check whether it is ‘no wipe’ or requires removal of the inhibition layer after curing.
The first three products are alternative shades; the fourth is an example of a clear Top Coat.
The removal method depends on the product applied and the technique used. Gel polish and products suitable for soak-off removal can be removed with Soak Off Remover, following their instructions. For other services, a nail professional may reduce the product with an e-file and a suitable tungsten carbide bit, without working directly on the natural nail.
Choose 500 ml or 1000 ml for products compatible with this removal method.
No. They are shown here as two base options. Choose the one that suits the nail’s condition and the protocol of the products you plan to use.
No. A coloured base can be the visible manicure colour and be finished with a compatible Top Coat. Add Gel Polish when you want a different colour or effect.
Its main purpose is to provide long-lasting colour as part of a manicure system. It should not be presented as a nail-hardening treatment or a replacement for assessment and a suitable base.
No. ‘No wipe’ finishes leave no inhibition layer after correct curing; other finishes do require cleansing. Always check the chosen Top Coat’s instructions.
It depends on the product and lamp type. Purple’s illustrated manual shows 60 seconds under LED and 120 under UV for its Gel Polish example, but follow the current instructions for each product.
Prepare the nail, choose the base, decide between a Gel Polish shade and a coloured base, then use a compatible finish. Each product has its own instructions, and professional judgement determines the final sequence.
